The Museum’s unique Collection dates from the 1730’s right up to the 1970’s and provides a history of clothing and accessories throughout those years charting the changes in fashion and manufacture of costume during that period.
The Museum provides many facilities and information on the history of the collection and many other items to be seen. Each room has a fascination of it’s own. The visitor will always find something to delight the eye.
This exhibition shows an array of 1970’s clothes mounted on peg-top models giving the observer a chance to study some of the vibrant colours, textures and designs of the period.
This room has been made possible by a generous legacy from a donor and the displays with help from several different sources.
