Richard Freeman discusses his engaging book, The Great Edwardian Naval Feud: Beresford’s Vendetta against ‘Jackie’ Fisher, which tells the story of the clash between two formidable twentieth-century personalities.

14.00 – 16.00 – The Great Naval Debate

Join Richard Freeman, Susan Ronald and Douglas Ronald debate the thought-provoking question; which was the greatest naval battle: the Spanish Armada, Trafalgar or Jutland?

Amateur and professional photographers of all ages are invited to enter their most spectacular shots of the night sky. The winning entries will feature in the free Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2011 exhibition opening 9 September 2011.

Entry is free. Competition closes 13 July 2011.
